Acne necrotica

Acne necrotica refers to deep, painful pustules covered with eschar, which resolve with scarring. Scalp folliculitis may be controlled but rarely cured by long-term oral tetracyclines, e.g. doxycycline 50-100mg daily, or low-dose isotretinoin, e.g. 5 to 10mg daily.
